Going vegan doesn’t mean that you have to give up cheese – in fact, it just means that you are about to discover a whole new world! It is possible to make creamy pasta sauces, dips and dressings that you could swear have dairy products in it, without having any.
Here is an easy sauce recipe that we serve our customers at Orion Cafe. You can use it on steamed veggies or as a dip, and you can play with the ingredients to make all kinds of pasta sauces or top your favorite vegan burger or tofu scramble with this delicious and nutritious recipe!
- 1 cup cashews
- 1 tablespoon tahini
- 1 1/2 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar
- 1 cup almond milk
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/4 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 4 tablespoons nutritional yeast
All you need to do is… blend all ingredients until smooth!
